Our business is to take your business seriously. That's why
we invest heavily in hardware, staffing and facilities that
ensure your site is up and running on the web 24 hours a day,
seven days a week.
Our Network Operations
Center (NOC) is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The center
features raised flooring which enables a constant flow of conditioned
air and helps to maintain uniform room temperature at all times.
In addition, raised flooring reduces static and ensures a professional,
computer grade environment for your servers. The facility is
equipped with a FM-200 Dry Fire Suppression system, designed
to immediately extinguish fire and protect equipment and personnel.
The command center is controlled via automatic doors to further
secure and protect the equipment.
Finally, the NOC
is located in a secure, monitored, class A building with a minimum
number of approved personnel allowed access to highly sensitive
areas and equipment. A detailed record of employee and visitor
entry is maintained at all times. Access not only requires secure
card IDs, but all approved personnel are palm scanned for biometric
identification before entry is approved.

Network
Speed and Redundancy
Connected to redundant
backbones, the Web Hosting Intl. NOC is located in Alpharetta,
GA. We utilize InterNAP and Savvis through separate OC3 bandwidth-on-demand
connections. We use intelligent end-user routing software called
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). BGP identifies which path is
the most efficient for each data packet and then routes the
packet to its destination on the fastest path. This increases
the speed at which web pages sent from our NOC arrive at their
destination.
Savvis has been
rated as the best
download speed in the world by Keynote Systems, an independent
ISP auditor, as reported in Boardwatch Magazine's Directory
of Internet Service Providers. Together, we provide a global
Intelligent IP Network for high performance and unparalleled
reliability. Your data speeds through a unique, intelligent
Overlay Network environment that completely bypasses the congested
public Internet exchange points.
Unlike some service
providers who randomly choose public NAPs or private peering
points, our routing technology sends customer data out along
the correct Internet backbone immediately, through our Private
Network Access Point (P-NAP) facilities. For our customers,
the optimizing effects of our proprietary network architecture
and advanced routing technologies dramatically boost performance.

Performance
Rawperformance

Uninterruptible
Power System
To guard against
local power failures, Web Hosting Intl. uses an industrial-grade,
Liebert and Exide UPS system with multiple power grids. These
act as back-up batteries, maintaining uninterrupted power in
case of surges or power outages. We also have a Cummins Diesel
Generator in place to handle extended power outages.
With these backup
systems in place, we can keep our network up and running indefinitely
without relying on external power.

Industrial-Grade
Air Conditioners
Our NOC has two
4 x 30 Ton Liebert A/C Units, which condition our computer rooms
and operations center. Our computer room is kept at an optimal
temperature of 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
Additionally,
each computer is housed in an independent temperature-controlled
cabinet to insure a safe operating environment.

Custom
Web Servers
Web Hosting Intl. web servers are custom-built industrial machines
designed for a 24/7 web serving environment. Our fully-loaded
servers are equipped with redundant power supply, RAID hard
drives and force-filtered cooling systems.
In addition, our
NOC is equipped with an inventory of burned-in standby servers
and components, ready to be deployed in case of emergency. Server
content is backed up nightly to tape.

Force Filtered Cooling
All of Web Hosting Intl. web servers are equipped with a positive pressure
filtered-air system. Four large fans pull filtered air into
each server's protective case and the components within are
cooled by fans which circulate this purified air. This constant
introduction of clean air into the case creates a positive pressure
environment ensuring dust and particles remain outside of the
server.
